Quentin Braat is a French goalkeeper who has had a great projection, share generation with Paul Bernardoni and in the U20 with Alban Lafont, added to his lack of minutes in professional football has cut his progression.

He found continuity after the injury of Niort’s starting goalkeeper at the end of 20/21, playing 8 games, with 0 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses, falling to the relegation play-offs, in which they managed to stay in Ligue 2. In the 21/22, he started as the goalkeeper until matchday 26, when Mathieu Michel, having already recovered from his injury, returned to the team.

Style of Play

He is a player who stands out especially for his physical condition, having room for improvement at a technical level. Braat has the ability to avoid medium and long distance shots that go to high-medium height, having more problems in low balls. He makes very good saves with his legs, not being able to get to the farthest shots. He is a goalkeeper who tends to concede rebounds, since he uses his physique more than his technique and reflexes, blocking few balls.

In crosses he has good technique with his fists, projecting the ball high and far from the goal. He takes advantage of his height on easier balls, catching without problems.

In situations inside the area and with little time/space for the opponent, he narrows the gaps well and the space between the goalkeeper and the defensive line. Braat is a brave goalkeeper in these situations and having to go far from the goal, measuring distances outside the area well.

With his feet, his great long shot stands out in restarts of the game (goal kicks, fouls…), having more difficulties giving continuity to possession. He takes risks distributing the ball, coming the pressing on him on many occasions. Accurate in short passes to beat the rival first line, needing to improve in situations that require passes of 20-30 meters.

Injuries

Player without serious injuries.

Projection

Goalkeeper with many possibilities to grow due to his conditions, with the need to accumulate minutes and confidence. If he improves at a technical level, he is a goalkeeper who could be a starter in teams at the top of the Second Division. It will be difficult for him to start in his first season at Real Oviedo.
