Valentín Castellanos is an Argentine player who took his first steps in professional football in Chilean and Uruguayan football. His arrival at the City Football Group gave him the subsequent move from Montevideo to New York City where he has become the top scorer in MLS.
Style of Play
He is a goalscoring striker, very powerful for his height and with great understanding of the game. His main strength is the movement in the opponent’s defensive zone, finding the right space at the perfect time.
Without standing out at a technical level, Taty uses both legs well and is a great passer, knowing how to go down to midfield areas to generate superiorities and achieving many assists.
He is a great header finisher and wins many aerial duels for the team. His great instinct makes him a striker, who without needing dribbling or great skills is very useful in any situation, being decisive in transitions.
