Croatia won the best match of the World Cup so far, for the surprise of defeating Brazil but also for the high level shown. The match was played on Brazil’s left flank, where Vinícius received many balls and Croatia always generated superiority to avoid problems in defense.

When Croatia regained the ball, they took advantage of the spaces left by Vinícius and Danilo who left his position to get to the middle of the field when Brazil had possession of the ball.

In these situations, both Kovacic and Modric were very involved to help Croatia rest with the ball and be able to progress into the opponent’s half.
