England 2-0 Ukraine – Tactical Analysis

3 minutes of madness were enough for England to beat Ukraine with the Bukayo Saka – Harry Kane connection.

1-0

In the first goal, Harry Kane drops back to receive the pass of Chilwell, shows his outstanding level playing with his back to goal, sprays the ball out to the right wing for Saka, switching the play, before running to get into the box. The winger curls a delightful cross to the back post, where Kane is waiting in the back of the right back to sidefoot home and put the hosts up.

2-0

And the second is a brilliant goal that starts with a pass from Saka to Kane. The Tottenham striker plays very well under pressure, he lays the ball off to Henderson who passes to Saka on the edge of the box. The Arsenal player has his back to goal but with a great first touch he confuses Matvyenko, manages to turn and generate space to finish perfectly, picking out the top left corner. What a strike!

2 very good games from England with Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka as the stars of the team.
